In order for one to achieve continued existence, he or she needs help from others ~ daily; simultaneously, one needs to help someone ~ on a daily basis that he or she too, can at times, survive.
"The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own." ~ Benjamin Disraeli
Throughout childhood and even into adulthood, children need his or her parents; and, as loving as parents are, he or she would always give in to, and help their children, whether it is with his or her time, or money. This comes naturally, especially if it's an only child; however, when it comes to a neighbor or their children, would these parents be so free spirited, and reach out, so willingly to help?
"It seems to me that any full grown, mature adult would have a desire to be responsible, to help where he can in a world that needs so very much, that threatens us so very much." ~ Norman Lear
I have to admit, I was never attentive to someone else needs, until I got older and learned that helping another is the right thing to do; now, I go out of the way to help, and be of service to others.
"Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of a man's help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it. For, remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too." ~ Albert Schweitzer
