Quote of the Day:

“Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.” Hayden

Meaning of the Quote:

When we get what we want, we are considered successful. However, we have to want what we get to be happy.

Discussion of the Quote:

Indeed, we have to set  goals and hit  goals in order to consider ourselves successful. Sometimes this is not always the case. We have to take many detours or wrong turns that do not lead to getting what we want sometimes. However, we have to be determined and stay focused and work through our difficulties until we are able to achieve the goals that we have set for ourselves and therefore get what we want.

Additionally, when it comes to happiness, we have to want what we get in order for us to achieve happiness. Sometimes we have things that we do not really want so they are sources of frustration and sometimes misery. It is not always the case that we want what we have. Instead, we want what we can’t have or we want other things as opposed to what we already have.

Final Thoughts:

Sometimes we don’t always get what we want neither do we want what we get. Consequently, this situation can create a dilemma. We have to find ways to see the value in what we already have and find ways to be happy with them. On the other hand, we have to access our goals and figure out why we are not getting what we want.
