Being sick or having other mishaps in life definitely can put a big inconvenience on your already full schedule. Too often when things go awry, people go into feeling overwhelmed, lamenting--why me, feeling sorry, etc.
Allow me to share with you what I do, and what I do every day to stay at my best, especially when I’m not feeling quite up to par.
First, I view it as a personal challenge to raise my mental/emotional energy as much as I can, so I can have the biggest impact possible. Your mindset is a major factor in your energy level and how you feel throughout the day, so that is where you need to focus.
If you tell yourself you are tired, why me, ain't it awful, nobody helps me, then that is how you are going to show up wherever you go. And conversely, if you tell yourself you are full of energy, love, and with the ability to move past this setback and that you are ready to inspire the people around you, then you will show up in a completely different way. Only you can decide how you are going to show up.
Jumpstart your mental/emotional thoughts into the game of success, at the highest possible level, because, your mindset matters.
Second, I think about the process and the people I can connect with. If I am having a meeting, I want to match my pace and energy to theirs, so we can have a conversation at the same level. Or if I am going onto a stage, or working with a client, I want to raise my energy as high as I possibly can, so I look for people who are engaged and enthusiastic, and I make sure to visually connect with them throughout my time with them, to keep my energy high the entire time.
Be present at the moment to keep your mental/emotional energy flowing at the perfect level for the situation.
Third, I set my intention. I focus intently on the impact I desire to have and the outcome I want to create, for myself, and for the person or people I interact with.
Set your mental/emotional intention for every interaction you have, in order to stay connected to your greater purpose.
Fourth, but not least, I remind myself frequently and before every event that I have all I need to create the desired outcome because it opens me up to greater power and empowerment. From there, I align with a higher message that I can deliver.
Open yourself to receiving something greater and let it work through you to reach the highest level of good.
Find a prayer, poem, affirmation or even a song that engenders good feelings, boosts your energy and helps you stay focused on your greater purpose. This will help you in more ways than you can imagine.
I encourage you to ask yourself every morning, “How do I desire to show up today?” so that you can make the biggest impact possible. If you are a solopreneur and only interact with people via written words, notice how you are stating your message. Are your words empowering, positive, enthusiastic and welcoming?
When you show up in the world feeling empowered, positive, enthusiastic and welcoming you will notice what was a glitch has virtually disappeared.
